What's New at WSB?

WSB's North Waltham/Lexington Branch Now Open!
Watertown Savings Bank has opened its tenth branch location at 1075 Waltham Street in Lexington! This is the bank's first office in Lexington.

"This new branch location is one of the major gateways into Lexington. We believe we have created an attractive and convenient new branch for our customers living and working in the North Waltham/Lexington area," said bank President Brett Dean. It is a full-service location, complete with two drive-up teller lanes, and a drive-up ATM.

Waltham native and Assistant Vice President David Burgess, who has worked for WSB for more than 18 years, is the manager of the new location. He is very well-known and active in several Waltham community organizations.

Joining Dave as his assistant manager is Robyn Alman. She previously worked as the assistant manager of Cambridge Savings Bank's Lexington location.

"We are excited to have Dave and Robyn rejoin the community with which they are both so familiar," said Fred Proia, Senior Vice President of Retail. "Both are very well respected members of our branch management team, and will be tremendous assets to the new office."

A variety of grand opening celebration festivities are being planned, including the chance to win a laptop computer and the opportunity to receive up to $100 in gift cards to the Wagon Wheel Farmstand. Plus, receive complimentary refreshments and a free plant, just for stopping by during our grand opening (no purchase necessary). We invite you to stop by and visit this beautiful new facility!

WSB Pledges $100,000 to Mount Auburn Hospital
Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) has pledged $100,000 to The Campaign for Mount Auburn Hospital, a five-year, $21 million fundraising effort that will advance Mount Auburn's exemplary standard of patient care. The focus of the campaign is a new multi-story building that will house a new Critical Care pavilion and a new Cardiovascular Center. Campaign funding will also upgrade and add new patient rooms and surgical facilities, and improve hospital access and parking for patients and families.

Mount Auburn Hospital broke ground last September for the new West Building which, with its state-of-the-art design and technology, will enable the hospital to meet the growing needs of the region it serves. Jeanette Clough, President and CEO of Mount Auburn, expressed her deep appreciation to the Watertown Savings' Board of Directors: "The support of Watertown Savings Bank is a wonderful expression of our strong partnership and shared commitment to the long-term health of our community."

"We like to contribute to projects that we know will affect the generations. Mount Auburn Hospital has been a part of Watertown for many generations and it is a privilege to help the hospital grow and continue to provide the best patient care possible," says Ronald Dean, CEO of Watertown Savings Bank. "With our financial support and the financial support of others, our shared goal is to allow the Hospital to continue to advance their services, and thereby further enhance the quality of life in our local communities."
