WATERTOWN, November 2018—WSB is pleased to announce that the 2019 wall calendar, featuring the winning photographs from 12 local high school students, is available in each of our 10 branch locations.
Twelve winners were chosen in the Bank's Annual High School Photo Contest. More than 370 photos were submitted from 200 different students who live or attend high school in: Arlington, Belmont, Lexington, Newton, Waltham, and Watertown. The winning photographs were chosen by WSB staff.
Ethan Smyke, Beaver Country Day School freshman and Watertown resident, is the First Place winner for his photo, appearing with November. Second Place is awarded to Eliana Kimmelmann, Newton South High School freshman, for her photo which will appear with March. Alexia Marriott, Waltham High School freshman, won Third Place for her February photo.
Honorable Mentions were awarded to nine students, including four Waltham High School students: senior Amy Benoit for her September photo; Hailey Hunt, a sophomore, for July; sophomore Ella Matthews for August; and sophomore Isabella Meconiates for December. Two Watertown High School students: senior Emily Koufos for her June photo; and sophomore Anais Markwood for May.
Also receiving honorable mentions: Belmont High School senior Haley Brown for her January photo; Chapel Hill – Chauncy Hall School Senior Yuchen Zha for his October photo; and Lexington High School sophomore Hein Coonen for his April photo.
